Queenstown Golf Club – Royal Family Day Wrap-Up

Kings Birthday Bash – Monday, 2 June 2025

What a regal occasion we enjoyed on Kings Birthday Monday! Warm weather, calm conditions, and not even the faintest flicker from the flames on the King's cake — a true golfing miracle. It was the perfect day for a hit, a laugh, and a subtle reminder that the monarchy might not swing a club, but we sure can.

Top of the Royal Tree
A hearty round of applause for Josh Rees and Jake Childs, who claimed 1st place with a royal score of +6 and walked off $35 richer — not to mention with bragging rights for the foreseeable future.

Right behind them:
Marti Groves & Michael Taylor (+3) – showing that steady play pays.
Tyree Birch & Annette Fea (-1) – proving style and substance can go hand in hand.

Further noble efforts were rewarded by the Treasurer (somewhat reluctantly) with prize money to:
