The Anderson Trophy dates back to 1955 and is played in mixed sex pairs (male and female). Whilst originally played in a Canadian Foursomes format the event is now played as a 4BBB Stableford competition.

The event is played in January annually to coincide with the Opening days of both the men's and ladies calendars and typically is played on the last Sunday of January.
