Golf for Everyone
Golf should be easy to discover, easy to try and easy to enjoy. Queenstown Golf Club provides a range of ways for local people, families, juniors and first-time golfers to experience the game without needing to be a member.
Whether you want to hit your first golf ball, play a few relaxed holes, introduce your children to the game or simply find out what golf is all about, there is a place to start.
Start Here
Our tUp Community Golf programme is designed for people who are curious about golf but may not know where to begin.
The sessions are relaxed, social and obligation-free. You can learn the basics, meet other people, use the Club's facilities and discover whether golf might be for you.
No membership is required and you do not need to arrive with golf experience or equipment.
Find Your Way Into Golf
Golf does not have to mean joining a club and playing 18 holes every week. Start with the version that suits you.
New to Golf
Learn the basics in a relaxed environment and discover the game without pressure or expectation.
Play Your Way
Shorter formats, social golf and flexible ways to enjoy the course without committing to traditional competition.
Growing the Game
Opportunities for young people and families to discover golf together and develop at their own pace.
Beyond Golf
We work with schools, community groups and local organisations to make the Club and the game accessible.
A Community Asset
Queenstown Golf Club sits on public recreation reserve land at the heart of Kelvin Peninsula. We believe our role extends beyond providing golf for members and visitors.
We want the Club to be welcoming, accessible and useful to the wider community, whether people come to play golf, learn the game, enjoy the Café, walk the peninsula or simply spend time in one of Queenstown's special places.
First Time?
If you are new to golf, we will help you understand what you need to know as you go.
Community programmes can provide the basic equipment needed to get started.
You do not need a handicap, club membership or previous golf experience to begin.
Community golf is intended to be relaxed and welcoming. Comfortable clothing and suitable footwear are a great start.
