Visitors are welcome at Queenstown Golf Club throughout the year. Choose from 9 or 18 holes and experience golf on Kelvin Peninsula, surrounded by Lake Whakatipu and some of Queenstown's most memorable views.

We recommend booking ahead, particularly during the busy summer months, to secure your preferred tee time.

Visitors Welcome

9 or 18 Holes

Queenstown Golf Club is normally open 363 days each year, closing only on 25 and 26 December.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings before midday are generally used for members' competitions.

Nine-hole visitor play is available on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings from 8am to 9am between October and April.

Junior rates for players under 18 are available. Replay rates apply to a repeat 18-hole round played within seven days of the original round.

Local Residents

25% Local Discount

Ordinary residents of Queenstown, Arrowtown, Kingston or Glenorchy receive a 25% discount on public green-fee rates on presentation of proof of residency, such as a rates, power or utility account.

New Zealand Golfers

NZ Affiliated Rates

NZ Affiliated rates are available to full members of recognised New Zealand golf clubs. Limited, virtual and some seasonal membership categories may not qualify.

Special rates also apply to members of golf clubs within the Otago and Southland golfing districts. Please contact the Golf Shop for details.

Hilton & DoubleTree Guests

Guests staying at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa or DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown receive 25% off the prevailing green fee, cart hire for $40 and 50% off club hire. A valid hotel room access card is required.

Club Hire

Men's and women's Callaway and Titleist sets are available in both left and right hand options. Every player must have their own set of clubs; sharing clubs is not permitted.

Before You Arrive

Good to Know

Dress Code

Our dress code is relaxed. We simply ask players to be neat and tidy. Singlets, jandals, work boots, gumboots and rugby, football or cricket shoes are not suitable.

Greens Maintenance

We use lighter greens renovation three times each year, generally in September, December and March, using Maredo HiSpeed coring followed by light topdressing. Other minor maintenance may occur throughout the year with minimal disruption.

Winter 2026 Irrigation Upgrade

A composite nine-hole course is operating during the irrigation upgrade through approximately 18 September 2026. Players may choose either nine holes or complete two loops for an 18-hole round.
