Hi everyone,
Tuesday brought another enjoyable day at the club with two competitions running side by side — the 18-hole Yellow Tee Stableford and the Front 9 Yellow Tee Stableford. Conditions were finally lovely, the course played well, and there was some very solid scoring across both fields.
Here’s a wrap-up of how the day unfolded.
?? 18-Hole Yellow Tee Stableford – Placegetters
1st – Kay Shaw – 42 points – $45
2nd – Rose Cross – 40 points – $40
3rd – Sue Cunningham – 39 points – $35
4th – Deborah Clearwater – 38 points – $30
5th – Genevieve Herron – 37 points – $25
6th – Marie Wilkinson – 36 points – $15
7th – Therese Campbell – 36 points – $15
8th – David Grant – 36 points – $15
9th – Margaret Carlsson – 35 points – $10
10th – Lynda Hensman – 35 points – $10
A strong leaderboard, with Kay Shaw setting the pace and plenty of depth right through the top ten.
?? Birdies Draw – Hole 10
The Birdies Draw landed on Hole 10, and — surprise, surprise — Tom James once again found himself dipping into the Birdies kitty. Some players spend years chasing the stableford prize, however, Tom seems content relying on the odd birdie.
-
Tom James – $23
-
David Tillcock – $23
?? Net Eagles Draw – Hole 5
The Net Eagles Draw was pulled on Hole 5, with three winners each collecting $15:
-
Alexis Siermans
-
Deborah Clearwater
-
Catherine Monaghan
?? Special Prizes (18 Holes)
-
Longest Putt – Tyree Denise Birch – $10
-
Nearest the Pin – Sharron Payne – $10
-
Nearest the Pin – Rob Taylor – $10
Accurate iron play and pure putting rewarded!

2nd – Melanie Henderson – 22 points – $15
3rd – Ella Wilson – 21 points – $10

Another excellent Tuesday at Queenstown Golf Club — good scoring, plenty of prize winners, and a few familiar names continuing their strong runs.
We look forward to seeing you all back out on the course again soon.
