Z Energy Mixed Stableford Showdown

When Birdies Paid and the Rainmaker Rumbled

A crisp September morning gave way to some red-hot scoring on the fairways of Kelvin Heights, and it was the kind of day where even the clouds knew they couldn’t compete with the leaderboard heat.

Championship Vibes on a Thursday

Taking top honours with an impressive 39 pointsJohn Consitt delivered a consistent and confident round to seal the victory. Close behind on countback was Kris Brewin, with Russell Thoms tying up third, both finishing on 38 points. The scoreboard was packed tighter than a Sunday tee sheet.

It was another reminder that every point matters in Stableford land — especially when there’s Z Energy and Pro Shop prizes on the line.

Top 6 Place Getters

  1. John Consitt – 39 pts – $35

  2. Kris Brewin – 38 pts – $25

  3. Russell Thoms – 38 pts – $25

  4. Jaydee Oh – 37 pts – $20

  5. Jeffery Smith – 36 pts – $15

  6. Errol Frewen and Rodney “Rainmaker” Clay – 36 pts – $15 each

Twos, Birdies and Big Bucks

While there were just a few twos recorded, they came early and paid nicely.

  • Russell ThomsGrant Hardy and the ever-ominous Rainmaker himself, Rodney Clay, each rolled in a two, collecting $14 a piece.

But it was Liam Oh who made the biggest splash on the birdie front. Liam claimed the Birdie Draw on Hole 8, pocketing a sweet $40 and proving once again that when Liam’s short game is sharp, the cash register rings.

And speaking of highlights...

Net Eagle Draw Winner

  • Rodney “The Rainmaker” Clay – Hole 12 – $40
He didn’t just tame the twos — he soared with a net eagle on 12, cementing his reputation as a man who doesn’t mind a storm if it brings some cash with it.

Random Card Draw Winners

It pays to hang around after the round. These lucky golfers took home $10 Pro Shop credit each, thanks to a quick flick of the random card deck.

  • Marie Wilkinson

  • Grant Hardy

  • Holmes Byars

Not bad for showing up and smiling.
