Sunday Shoutout — Weather Whiplash & Warrior Golf
What a difference a day makes! After Saturday's soggy showing, Sunday turned on the charm with blue skies and a breeze that finally didn’t come with sideways rain.
Leading the charge was John Bitcheno, who admitted to a few nerves when paired with some low handicappers — but whatever they were doing clearly rubbed off. John carded a sensational 42 points to take 1st place and $35. We suspect he’s already planning to partner up with them again next week.

Two’s Club: All Quiet... Then a Double Whammy
For most of the day, it looked like Danny King was going to walk away with the only two on the course (on hole 11), but then came Ben Hamilton of Arrowtown, sneaking in late with not one, but two twos on hole 11 & 17. Talk about fashionably late! Both players earned $13 per two.

Consitt Continues to Collect
John Consitt, soon to trade Queenstown greens for Aussie fairways, made another trip to the prize table. With one of the most glamorous caddies on tour, John’s only complaint is that he insists on carrying the same stick and blade of grass around the course, and not Johns bag — we’re not sure whether it’s a superstition or an ongoing turf study.

Ladies Interclub – Alexandra Challenge
A huge shoutout to our Ladies Pennants Team who hit the road for Alexandra today. It was a doubleheader showdown — 18 holes against Dunstan and another 18 against Alexandra. The lineup of Suzanne Vidak, Karen Mitchell, Lynda Hensman, Cheli Larsen, Sharron Payne, and Julie Grant fought hard in tough conditions.
Final standings:
-
1st: Alexandra
-
2nd: Dunstan
-
3rd: Queenstown
It wasn’t our year, but the spirit was high and the golf bags full of determination. Here’s to coming back stronger next year!

Until Next Round...
Thanks to all who came out and made the most of the sunshine. Whether you're chasing twos, playing mind games with match play pairings, or just enjoying the walk (and the gossip), we’ll see you back on course soon.
