Sunday’s “Choose Your Tees” Stableford gave players the freedom to pick their poison – red, yellow, white, or blue – and it produced some cracking golf in perfect Queenstown conditions. Sunshine, gentle breezes, and the faint scent of summer in the air made for a brilliant day on course.

The Wong Show – Seven Birdies and an Eagle!
The day’s biggest headline was Michael Wong’s spectacular round, featuring an incredible seven birdies and an eagle.
He turned the course into his personal highlight reel — precision irons, hot putting, and nerves of steel. His back nine charge will be talked about in the clubhouse for weeks.
Twos Club – Sharpshooters of the Day
Two players found that sweet combination of accuracy and luck on the par 3s:
Wong wasn’t finished with his fireworks, carding two separate twos to add to his already memorable round.

Final Thoughts
Between Genevieve’s consistency and Wong’s wizardry, Sunday’s comp was a showcase of precision and flair. The freedom to choose tees gave players plenty to think about, and the leaderboard reflected some bold, attacking golf.
Congratulations to all our winners and especially to Michael Wong — seven birdies and an eagle in one round deserves a standing ovation (and perhaps a recalibrated handicap!).
See you all next Sunday for more great golf at Queenstown Golf Club.
