Hi everyone,
Tuesday golf delivered another relaxed but competitive summer outing at Queenstown, with two competitions running side by side — the Members Mixed Stableford over 18 holes and the Choose-a-Tee 9 Hole Stableford. Plenty of good scoring, a few familiar names near the top, and some tidy work on the short holes made for a very enjoyable day on course.
Here’s how it all played out.
Members Mixed Stableford – Placegetters
1st – Annabel McCulloch – 40 points – $40
2nd – Toby McDonald – 39 points – $35
3rd – Tom James – 39 points – $35
4th – Gavin Hastings – 38 points – $30
5th – Kris Brewin – 36 points – $25
6th – Bill Davidson – 36 points – $25
7th – Genevieve Herron – 36 points – $25
8th – Karen Troon – 35 points – $20
9th – Lynda Hensman – 34 points – $15
10th – Marie Wilkinson – 34 points – $15
A strong top end to the leaderboard, with Annabel setting the pace and a very tight chase group just behind her.
Twos Club
Only two players found perfection on the par 3s today, and both were rewarded handsomely:
Clean strikes and confident putting always pay off.
Special Prizes
-
Nearest the Pin (Ladies) – Sharron Payne – $10
-
Nearest the Pin (Men) – Kris Brewin – $10
-
Longest Putt – Julie Grant – $10
Nice variety across the special prizes, with accuracy and touch both on display.
Choose-a-Tee 9 Hole Stableford
The 9-hole field also put on a great show, with two excellent rounds rising above the rest.
1st – Gillian Douglass – 21 points – $25
2nd – Helen Thomas – 20 points – $15
Strong scoring over the shorter loop and a great way to enjoy a summer afternoon.
Wrapping It Up
Another smooth-running Tuesday at the club — good numbers, friendly competition, and plenty of solid golf across both fields. Congratulations to all our prize winners, and thanks to everyone who came out to play.

We look forward to seeing you back out on the course again very soon as January golf continues to roll along.
