Tuesday's ladies competition, appropriately titled "Ooh Look, It's Stableford", delivered another enjoyable day of winter golf with some excellent scoring and a couple of special prize moments saved right until the end.

Leading the way was Robyn Bitcheno, whose fantastic round of 22 points earned her top honours and the winner's cheque. Jenny Ritchie wasn't far behind with a very solid 20 points, while Cisca McNay, Nan Mavor, Margaret Carlsson and Sue Gain all tied on 19 points, proving once again that winter golf is rarely short of competitive spirit.

The shot of the day undoubtedly belonged to Margaret Carlsson on Hole 2. Margaret's tee shot was an absolute beauty, finishing stone dead and securing the Nearest to the Pin prize and the $20 Life Pharmacy Wilkinson's Voucher. It's the sort of shot we all dream about, and one that no doubt received plenty of admiring glances from her playing partners.

Longest First Putt Hole 9 – Tilly Grant – $25 Neat Meat Voucher

As has become tradition, the Longest First Putt competition wasn't decided until the final hole of the day. Despite battling some difficult greens and perhaps uttering the odd unprintable phrase on earlier holes, Tilly Grant saved her best for last. Standing over a lengthy effort on the final green, she calmly rolled in the putt of the day to secure the $25 Neat Meat Voucher. There's no better way to finish a round than hearing the rattle of the cup from over 20 feet away and strolling into the clubhouse with a smile and a voucher in hand.
