After rewriting the record books with an incredible 27-point round on Thursday, Neil Templeton kindly decided to take the day off on Saturday, allowing the rest of the field a fighting chance of collecting some prize money. Whether it was generosity or simply a well-earned rest, the remaining competitors certainly appreciated the opportunity!

With the door left open, Jim Cullen stepped through it in style, producing an excellent 22 Stableford points to claim top honours. Bill Davidson and John Strettell both chased hard with 21 points, while Richard Hogan was just a shot further back on 20. Once again, the winter 9-hole competition produced another tightly packed leaderboard.

The Life Pharmacy Wilkinson's Nearest to the Pin was decided remarkably early in the day. Michael Taylor, playing in the very first group, stiffed his tee shot on the 2nd hole and set the benchmark. One by one the remaining groups had their crack, but nobody could better it, leaving Michael's name proudly sitting alone on the sheet from first tee time right through until presentations.

Julie Grant – $25 Neat Meat Voucher

The Neat Meat Longest Putt provided one of the more entertaining moments of the afternoon. Julie Grant's winning effort certainly had a little assistance along the way, with the flagstick playing a starring role in helping the ball tumble into the bottom of the cup. Given the help it provided, we suspect Julie might have to share a small portion of that Neat Meat voucher with the flagstick.
