What a crisp winter's day at Queenstown Golf Club today! The kind of morning where the air has a definite bite to it, but once you're out there, the clear winter conditions make it all worthwhile. The mountains looked magnificent and the golf course certainly wasn't short on willing participants.

We had both 9 Hole and 18 Hole Stableford competitions on the go, with some excellent scoring across both fields.

18 Hole Stableford

It was Marie Wilkinson who took the honours in the 18 Hole competition, producing a superb 37 points (on countback) to claim first place. Michael Taylor matched Marie's 37 but had to settle for second, while Craig Scholes, James Ward and Adrian Januszkiewicz were all locked together on 36 points.

That's a very tidy leaderboard considering the winter conditions!

1st – Marie Wilkinson – 37 pts – $25
2nd – Michael Taylor – 37 pts – $24
3rd – Craig Scholes – 36 pts – $17
4th – James Ward – 36 pts – $17
5th – Adrian Januszkiewicz – 36 pts – $17
6th – Steven Ridley – 35 pts – $12
7th – Lewis Ferguson – 35 pts – $12

A Few Twos to Warm Things Up

There was also a little extra excitement in the 18 Hole competition with four Twos recorded.

Michael Taylor and Danny King each recorded a two, while Craig Scholes somehow managed to find the magic number twice! That's a pretty efficient way to collect a couple of $5 prizes.

9 Hole Stableford

Over in the 9 Hole competition, it was a very close affair at the top.

David Jerram claimed the win with 19 points (on c/b), while Julianne Bowman matched him on 19 to take second place. Cory Clark wasn't far behind, finishing third with a very respectable 18 points.

1st – David Jerram – 19 pts – $16
2nd – Julianne Bowman – 19 pts – $14
3rd – Cory Clark – 18 pts – $10

on c/b from Lynda Baker, Kerry Conner

A big congratulations to all of today's prize winners. On a day when the winter air had plenty of bite, there was certainly no shortage of quality golf to keep things interesting.

Aren't we so lucky...Crisp conditions, clear skies and plenty of golf—another pretty good way to spend a Sunday in Queenstown! Living the dream!
