Top of the Pops – Stableford Standouts

The course may have been cool, but the competition was absolutely cooking. A hearty congratulations to our prize-getters:

  • John McDowell – 39 points and $40 in the bank. Great round, John!

  • Barry “Consistent-as-Clockwork” Pannett – 38 points and a cool $35.

  • Kris BrewinBruce Risby, and Greg Kerr – all locked in at 37 points, with $25 each to show for it.

Big shoutouts to everyone down the board – from 36s through to 34s, we had a tightly packed leaderboard with plenty of fist pumps (we assume).

Net Eagles – Soaring Scores

  • Nigel Soper went double eagle on 7 and 17!

  • Barry Pannett bagged another net eagle (yes, again!), this time on 18.

  • Other fine feathered friends include Simon HayesGraeme Allan, and Greg Kerr.

If this keeps up, we may need to issue bird-watching binoculars to the marshals.

Birdies Galore

No shortage of chirping on the fairways this week:

  • Grant Hardy had back-to-back on 9 and 10.

  • Dean Corry flexed his feathers on 6 and 18.

  • Rodney “Rainmaker” Clay brought the thunder with a birdie and a two on hole 10. More on that culinary masterpiece below...

Prize Table Goodies

Beyond the leaderboard, there were plenty of treats dished out:

  • Rodney Clay and Kim Wilkinson each grabbed a tidy $20 for twos.

  • Rodney also snatched the Longest Putt and cooked up a little something extra (see below…).

  • Jocelyn Davis was victorious with the Ladies Longest Putt.

  • Birdies Draw: Grant Hardy – $61.

  • Net Eagles Draw: Kim Wilkinson – $61.

  • NTP prizes went to Sally Hogg and James Han – sweet pin-seeking, team!

Chef Rodney's Legendary Two

We’ve always known Rodney’s short game was spicy, but this week he brought heat to Hole 10. Chipping in from the fringe, with the finesse of a Michelin chef plating dessert, he jarred a two that left witnesses speechless and opponents hungry.

Quote of the Day:

“They said it was a chip shot. Rodney said it was a chicken chip, lightly seasoned and served with a side of ‘hold my beer.’”

Rodney – you’ve officially turned the 10th hole into your own cooking show.
