TUESDAY LADIES WRAP
Queenstown Golf Club – Medal Round & Putting
The Tuesday frost put up a good fight, but the ladies were better.
After a one-hour delay and a few stiff swings on greens that felt more like concrete slabs, the 18-hole crew braved the cold and turned in a day of golf worth bragging about.
Nola "I’m Taking Winter Off" Pratt Shows No Signs of Slowing Down
Despite the declaration of a winter break, Nola Pratt turned up and casually carded a net 70, taking top honours in Bronze 2. The rest of us are wondering what she might shoot when she’s actually on. A fantastic round in very uncooperative conditions.

Random Hole Draw – Birdies & Net Eagles!
A brand new addition to our prize table this week – a Birdies & Net Eagles Random Hole Draw – and it was a hit.
Hole 9 was drawn for net eagles, with Jenny Brown, Kate Webster, Judith Mitchell and Ann McDowell each scoring a little boost of $11 to warm their pockets.
Then came the real winner: Hole 14 was drawn for birdies, and Marie Wilkinson was the lone star with one to her name – a cracking effort that earned her $45. That’s the kind of birdie bonus we could all get used to.
9-HOLE LADIES – TUESDAY 10 JUNE
Over on the short course, the 9-hole ladies had their own frosty fun.
Carolyn Rooney claimed the top spot with a neat net 31, followed closely by Jen Thomson (32) and Sharon Burke (35) to round out the podium.
But the moment of the day? That belonged to Barbara Nind, who rolled in an absolute monster of a putt on the 18th to claim Longest Putt honours. The gallery erupted in cheers loud enough to rattle the trees – and possibly a few nearby golfers.

Despite the icy start, the golf was red hot. Well played to everyone who turned up, teed off, and braved the greens with grit and grace. Winter might be settling in, but the spirit out there is still going strong.
See you next week,
