Competition Roundup
Stableford Results
With scores tighter than a new glove, we had a strong showing this week:
- Jo Denton led the charge from Phil Marshall, taking him out on countback with 40 points. Well played!
- A five-way tie on 37 points followed, showing that consistency still reigns supreme.
- Special mention to our top 10 who all cracked 36+ points—clearly, some of you have been practising while the rest of us were "working".
Full results down to 63rd place included strong efforts from plenty of familiar faces.
Net Eagles Draw
Four golfers had their names pulled from the Net Eagles hat, each taking home $18:
- Ross Herron
- Pat White
- Colin Tanner
- Tony Moran
Impressive work from these players—Net Eagles don’t just help your scorecard, they help your wallet too
Birdies Draw
The luck of the draw went to Moonseok Kang, who cashed in a $69 prize for his pair of birdies on 9 and 15. A tidy payout for finding the red numbers, and a great effort from Moonseok who also placed in the Stableford top 20.
Twos & A Very Special One
The twos pot was spread across several golfers, but the biggest cheers in the clubhouse came for Grant Hardy, who aced the 10th! That’s right—a hole-in-one, earning him a $50 Pro Shop credit and bragging rights until someone else finds the cup in one.
Now, word has it there was a bit of a commotion when his group tried to verify the scorecard—some wag in the clubhouse swore the rest of his round looked “suspiciously average”. One ace and then... well, let’s just say he returned to Earth quickly. Still, Grant “what’s happening?!”, we salute you!
Course Changeover in Progress
A quick note for tomorrow’s players: the course changeover is underway and will be in play for tomorrow. Please check the updated course layout or ask in the Pro Shop if you're unsure what tees are in play. No sneaky advantages—unless you’re planning to ace the 10th, in which case will now be the new 11th.
That’s it for this week’s wrap. Until next time—swing smooth, repair your pitch marks, and remember: scorecards never lie… unless someone forgets to sign them.
Cheers from the Pro Shop Team!
