Rodney the Rainmaker Strikes Again!
You’ve got to hand it to him—Rodney 'the Rainmaker' Clay outdid himself this Thursday. Like clockwork, the clouds rolled in, the drizzle arrived, and the ducks were absolutely delighted. While everyone else squelched around the course, Rodney insisted it was “perfect golf weather.” Maybe for a kayak.
Despite the wet turf, there were some sharp scores and even sharper putts on show. Let’s get into it.
Competition Highlights
Stableford Results

Ron Cusick led the way with a strong 37 points.

Just behind were James Han, Julianne Bowman, and Ricky Bennett, all scoring 35 and showing solid control in the slippery conditions.

Other honourable mentions go to Kim Wilkinson, Marie Wilkinson, and Robert Freer, all scoring 34 and looking pretty pleased about it too.
Twos Club
The twos pot was alive and well, with six players taking home the cash:

Tony Moran, Ian Browne, Phil Marshall, Robert Freer, Judith Mitchell, and Bill Grant all slotted it home in style on the Par 3s—clearly not letting a little water spoil the short game magic.

Birdie Draw: Congrats to Kim Wilkinson, who drained a beauty on Hole 15 and was rewarded with a tidy $52. That’s how you turn a slippery downhill putt into solid gold!

Net Eagles Draw: Brian MacPherson soared above the field with a Net Eagle on Hole 14, also collecting a crisp $52 for his trouble.

Final Thoughts
Despite the soggy conditions, spirits were high, putts were dropping, and prizes were flying out like umbrellas in a nor’wester. Thanks to everyone who braved the elements—next week we’ll try ordering some sun... but no promises if Rodney’s in charge of the weather again.
