THURSDAY RESULTS WRAP – 3 JULY 2025
Z Energy Mixed Stableford
Before we get into today’s golfing antics, don’t forget our Volle Promo currently running in the ProShop!
Buy a dozen Volle golf balls and receive a pack of tees absolutely free.
Stylish, biodegradable, and they won’t snap on your first swing (unless you really chunk it). But be quick — this deal is available while stocks last.

Now, onto the action from today’s stableford round…
It was cold ole winter’s day and the scoring was as tough as it gets. The field brought their A-game, and a few familiar faces cashed in big.
Matt Evans – On a Tear
Matt Evans had himself a day. Not only did he make two twos, he split the twos pot with... himself. Yes, both payouts went straight into the same pocket.
And just when you thought he was done, Matt also won the Birdies Draw on Hole 7. At this rate, we’ll need to rename it the Matt Evans Show and start charging admission.
Bill Grant Finds the Eagle
The Net Eagles Draw for Hole 8 went to Bill Grant, who continues to show that sometimes slower and steadier really does win the prize. Well played, Bill.
Special Prizes
-
Longest Putt: Darren Hill rolled in a belter to claim the men’s prize. Some say it started on the fringe and stopped somewhere near applause.
-
Nearest the Pin (Men): Darren wasn’t done – he also dropped one tight to the flag for another $10 in shop credit.
-
Nearest the Pin (Ladies): Tilly Grant claimed the honours. Precision golf at its finest – and a deserved win.
Top of the Leaderboard
-
1st: Mike Rivers – 38 points
-
2nd: Ron Cusick – 37 points
-
3rd: Peter Sim – 35 points
-
Rounding out the money with 33s: John Kennedy, Bill Grant, and Darren Hill
Honourable mentions to Tilly Grant, Corey Sinteur, and John Bannerman who all carded 32s.
Thanks to everyone who came out today and made the round a great one. The golf was competitive, the laughs were plenty, and the Volle balls are flying out the door.
See you next week.
