Queenstown Golf Club – Ladies Day Wrap
Tuesday 19th August 2025
Bravery in Numbers
With fresh snow on the mountains overnight, the views were spectacular but the air was sharp and chilly. Out of the field, we had 5 very brave 9-holers and 14 equally stoic 18-holers who turned up ready to face the cold.
So many people cancelled that Kelly in the ProShop was juggling tee sheets, cards, and calls like a circus performer. Honestly, if golf ever loses her, we know where she’s headed!
And while there were plenty of red, ruddy faces after the round, there were just as many smiles and laughs that warmed the day more than the winter sun.

9-Hole Stableford Results
A small but determined group of 9-holers showed that winter golf doesn’t faze them.

Final Word
Today was proof that size of field doesn’t matter — it’s the spirit that counts. Our 18-holers and 9-holers alike braved the cold, scored well, and kept the smiles flowing. A huge thank you again to Kelly in the ProShop for keeping it all together.
Here’s to warmer days ahead, but if not, at least more laughs to keep us going.
