It was another cracking Sunday at Queenstown Golf Club for our “Pick Your Tee Colour” Stableford, giving players the chance to mix things up and see if the colour of the markers made any difference to their fortunes. For some, it clearly did! Sunshine, calm skies, and plenty of laughter made it a perfect day to be out on course.

A brilliant 41 points from Heather Atkinson set the pace and secured top honours. Stephen McAteer’s smooth ball striking (or was it the new clubs?) earned him second, while Matt Evans rounded out the podium with a classy 38. The rest of the field kept things tight, with just a handful of points separating the top eight.
Twos Club – A Day for Precision
Two sharp shooters found the bottom of the cup in two, proving once again that accuracy pays:
Always satisfying when that ball disappears in two… and even better when it comes with cash attached!
Special Prizes
-
Nearest the Pin – Craig Paterson – another notch for Craig’s scorecard and another ten bucks for his account.
-
Longest Putt (18th) – Scott Arlett, who rolled in a beauty from mid-range to claim $10.

Final Thoughts
The “Pick Your Tee Colour” format always adds a little spice, and today it delivered plenty of variety — long drives, close approaches, and some enviable putting performances.
Congratulations to Heather Atkinson on a superb win, and well done to everyone who took part. It was the perfect mix of friendly competition and great golf.
See you all next Sunday for another round of fun at Queenstown Golf Club!
