Thursday Stableford – 9 April 2026
A bit of a change in the air today, with cooler and breezier conditions rolling in and putting an end to the run of big scoring we’ve been enjoying. The wind had its say, the temperature kept things honest, and as a result, the scores were a little more grounded than usual.
That said, there was still some tidy golf played, especially at the top of the leaderboard.

A couple of 38s at the top doing the damage today, with the conditions making anything higher a tough ask.
Two’s Club
The breeze made life difficult on the par 3s, and it showed. We were limited to just four twos today, and interestingly, every single one of them came on hole 11.
Well done to:
Dean Corry, Rodney Clay, Murray Carter and Ron Cusick – all collecting $20 each
Birdies and Net Eagles
The Birdie Hole was number 4, and it paid out nicely to:
Tom James – $80
A well-timed effort to take the full pot.
The Net Eagle Hole was number 15, and it was:
Peter Sim – $80
Another case of perfect timing paying dividends.
Special Prizes
Nearest the Pin:
Cory Clark – $10
No lady managed to hit the green on hole 17 today, so the $10 prize was decided by a random draw. Genevieve Herron was the lucky recipient!
Longest Putt:
Peter Sim – $10
Final Word
A slightly tougher day out there with the cooler breeze keeping scores in check, but still plenty of good golf and good humour. We had so many compliments on our course from visitors today, so I will use this newsletter to thank our hard working greenkeepers and volunteers for their tireless work as always!
Until next time!
