After a solid 15mm+ of rain overnight, it was lovely to arrive at the course this morning to a crisp early-spring day—and even better, a fresh dusting of snow around the mountains to provide the perfect Queenstown backdrop.

The rain had certainly done its job, but by tee-off the course was ready for another round of 9-hole Stableford, and the players were treated to some classic early-spring conditions. A little chill in the air, snow on the peaks and plenty of fresh air in the lungs - what more could you ask for?

Well, Peter Adam might have asked for exactly what he got: a winning score of 24 Stableford points!

Peter produced a terrific round to finish three points clear of the chasing pack. Steve McDiarmid, Ross Herron, Karen Troon and Peter Waaka all shared second place on the podium, all finishing with a fantastic 21 points.

That's some pretty impressive scoring considering the overnight deluge and the distinctly wintry look to the mountains. Five players managed 21 or better, while another five finished on 20. Clearly, the fresh snow didn't freeze anyone's golf!

With fresh snow on the hills, a crisp spring chill in the air and a course that survived another decent dose of rain, it was a pretty spectacular day to be out there.

Spring might not quite have made up its mind yet, but when it serves up days like this, we'll happily take them!
