Annette Finds Her Putting Mojo – 44 Points in a Windy One!

It was a properly testing day at Queenstown Golf Club, with windy conditions making life difficult and the greens staying firm and fast. So when Annette Fea marched in with a whopping 44 Stableford points, there was only ever going to be one winner!

And after Tuesday's little putting adventure, this result is particularly impressive. Annette apparently racked up 46 putts on Tuesday, but today she came storming home with 44 points. Now that's what we call a turnaround! From putting woes to putting the field to the sword in the space of 48 hours.

Annette finished a whopping five shots clear of second place, which is not something we see every day. Peter Stevenson and Greg Kerr both finished on 39 points, with Steve McDiarmid and Tony Moran next on 37.

Twos – Quite the Lucrative Little Number!

A two today was definitely worth chasing, with the three two-makers each pocketing a very handy $18 for their troubles.

Congratulations to:

  • Tim McKinnon — $18

  • Judith Mitchell — $18

  • Ron Cusick — $18

Not a bad return for a couple of well-struck shots and a putt that behaved itself!

Special Prizes

There was plenty happening on the birdie and net eagle front as well.

Birdies Draw

  • Kris Brewin — $31

  • Dan Clearwater — $31

Net Eagles Draw

  • Peter Stevenson — $21

  • Graeme Allan — $21

  • Annette Fea — $21

So Annette wasn't content with just taking out the Stableford — she decided to add a Net Eagles prize to the haul as well. Clearly the putting department has been given a stern talking-to!

A Tough Day's Work

Congratulations to all our prize winners today. With the wind doing its best to make things difficult and the greens running firm and fast, there were plenty of challenges out there.

To come away with a prize in those conditions was no mean feat — and Annette, after Tuesday's 46-putt episode, has certainly reminded us all that you can turn things around very quickly in this game!

Until next time, Adios!
