Shortcuts – Please Don’t Risk It!
A quick word about course safety:
We’ve noticed some members cutting between the 5th green and the 6th tee, across the blind hill by the 12th green.
Even if you think it’s safe… it isn’t. You can’t see who might be lining up a shot on the other side of the hill
Please respect the course layout – anyone caught taking this shortcut will lose booking and playing rights for a week. Let’s keep it safe and fair for everyone.
Random Pairs – It’s All in the (Not So) Random Draw!
This week’s Random Pairs Combined Stableford brought a little bit of magic and a whole lot of serendipity...
Turns out, the only two players to score in the 40s were randomly paired together – yes, randomly!
And with a monster 84 points, Julianne Bowman and Carolyn McIsaac couldn’t be caught.
1st – Julianne Bowman & Carolyn McIsaac – 84 pts – $20 each
2nd – Judith Mitchell & Ann McDowell – 73 pts
3rd – Joan Blomfield & Kay Shaw – 70 pts

Vive La Random Card Draw!
In honour of Bastille Day, our fabulous Ladies Club Captain brought the fizz – literally – with a bottle of Moët & Chandon up for grabs as this week’s random card draw prize.
The lucky winner? Vicki Buckham, who now has every excuse to celebrate like it’s 1789.
This photo was taken before anyone had any idea that Vicki would be the winner of a very tasty bottle of bubbles, looking very effervescent any time of the day.

9-Hole Ladies Stableford – Small But Mighty
It was a chilled field of 9-holers, but the scoring still sparkled:
1st – Tricia Lund-Jackson – 20 points – $15
2nd – Dorothy Williamson – 19 points – $10
And in true 9-hole fashion… everyone forgot about the Longest Putt prize. Probably too focused on coffee and cake – priorities!
