Hidden Holes Stableford – Saturday, 14 March 2026
Today’s format had a little twist to keep everyone guessing — Hidden Holes Stableford. Four holes were removed from the scorecards after the fact, and as it turns out they were 8, 9, 10 and 11. The big question around the clubhouse afterwards: did that work in your favour… or ruin what was shaping up as your best round of the year?
Conditions were about as good as you could hope for this time of year — a lovely sunny autumn day, with a breeze that came and went just often enough to keep everyone honest.
But the highlight of the day was undoubtedly Steve Moore producing a beauty on the tricky 7th hole — a Hole-in-One! That little gem earned Steve $50 for the ace and another $20 for Nearest the Pin. A pretty tidy moment and one he’ll be reminded about for many years to come.

Random Card Draw
Coincidence… or Something Else?
One of the more curious themes of the day was how many players who casually mentioned to Kelly that they’d “quite like to win something today”… actually did.
James Sowerby, Tom James and David Clearwater all had that very conversation — and lo and behold, their names popped up in the Birdies draw and Random Card draw.
Now, the Birdies and Net Eagles were generated by a random number generator, and the Random Card was drawn by one of our cart boys… but it does make you wonder.
Is there something in the water… or is AI listening in on the Proshop conversations?
Club Champs Update
It was also great to see plenty of Club Champs matches being played alongside today’s competition. Some hard-fought battles, a few nail-biters, and a couple of more comfortable strolls through to the next round.
The knockout stages are starting to heat up nicely.
Another fantastic day at Queenstown Golf Club — sunshine, great golf, and one very memorable hole-in-one.
See you all next round.
