Thursday Stableford – 16 April 2026
Another solid turnout for Thursday golf, with some fantastic scoring considering the scarily winter-like conditions.
Scoring was steady across the board, with a good mix of consistency and the odd standout performance.

A strong round from Errol Frewen to take top spot, with a tightly packed chasing group not far behind.
Two’s Club
Just the one and only two today, and it came with a bit of style.
Bill Davidson was the man of the moment, hitting his tee shot inside 3 feet on #17 and pocketing $66 for his troubles. As you’ll see both above and below, that was only part of the winnings from a very profitable day.
Birdies and Net Eagles
The Birdie Hole was number 1, and it went to:
Rodney Clay – $66
The Net Eagle Hole was number 14, and four players collected $16 each:
Bill Davidson, Josh Clark, Errol Frewen and Alson Foo.
Special Prizes
Nearest the Pin:
Bill Davidson – $10
Jocelyn Davis – $10
It seemed if your surname started with a D, you were in the money here today. A handy trend to keep in mind for next week.
Longest Putt:
Robert Freer – $10
?? Bill’s Big Day
A special mention to Bill Davidson, who managed to turn a Thursday round into a very worthwhile outing.
The only two of the day, a share of the net eagle pool, and a nearest the pin prize saw him walk away with a cool $114. Not a bad return for a few hours work. Other honourable mentions include Rodney Clay who pocketed $83 and Errol Frewen who claimed $61.
Final Word
Another enjoyable day at the club with plenty of good golf and a few standout performances.
We hope you all enjoyed your day whilst staying warm out there!
See you next time,
