Thursday Stableford – 7 May 2026

A day that started with a few raised eyebrows looking out the window… but as it turned out, good things come to those who wait. The weather slowly came right, the course dried up nicely, and those who stuck it out were rewarded with some very playable conditions.

And with that, the scoring followed.

1st: Holmes Byars – 41 pts – $40
2nd: Brian MacPherson – 40 pts – $34
3rd: Neil Templeton – 39 pts – $27
4th: Dylan Mathews – 37 pts – $20
5th: Sam Tidswell – 35 pts – $15

A strong round from Holmes Byars to take top honours, making the most of the improving conditions.

Final Word

A day that proved patience pays off. Those who hung in through the early uncertainty were rewarded with improving conditions and the chance to post a decent score.

Another enjoyable Thursday, and a reminder that sometimes it’s worth waiting out the weather rather than heading straight back to the carpark.
