Tuesday's Ladies 9 Hole Stableford was certainly no walk in the park, with a very windy day making club selection, ball flight and keeping the scorecard looking respectable a genuine challenge! Julie Grant even managed a sighting of some Daffodils amongst some shrubbery, as seen above.

Of the 37 players in the field, an impressive 10 managed to play better than their handicap. That's a terrific showing of golf in conditions that were doing their best to make life difficult. There was certainly no shortage of resilience—and some seriously good ball striking—to produce scores like these.

Leading the way was Carolyn Rooney, who put together a superb 24 Stableford points to take the win and pocket $26. Catherine Morrison and Genevieve Herron both finished on 21 points, with Catherine taking second and Genevieve third.

When you've got a putt with a bit of slope and a bit of breeze behind it, there's always that moment of wondering whether it's going to finish somewhere near the hole—or halfway down the fairway. Sue got the speed just right!
