Dear Members,

Today was one for the hardy. With the wind whistling and umbrellas threatening to take flight, a fearless field of golfers took to the fairways for the Z Energy Mixed Stableford — and boy, did they deliver!

Today’s Champion – Ian Browne

Taking top honours and defying the elements with a sensational 42 points, Ian Browne blew the competition away — though thankfully not literally. That’s a mighty effort in the wind, Ian. Enjoy that well-earned $40 and a round of applause from us all.

Top Stableford Finishers

• 2nd: Annette Fea – 39 pts – $35

• 3rd: Kumar Muniapan – 38 pts – $30

• 4th (Tied): Errol Frewen & Bruce Cunningham – 37 pts – $25 each

• Rounding out the top 10: Nigel Soper, Marie Wilkinson, Carole Smith, Mike Clement, and Dan Clearwater (35 pts) – all in the prize money.

The scoring held up remarkably well considering the wet and windy conditions!

Twos Winners – Bullseye Accuracy

• Liam Oh and Dan Clearwater both holed a two on Hole 11, navigating the breeze with surgical precision. Each walks away with a neat $30 reward and bragging rights until further notice.

Birdie Brilliance – Hole 3

Shoutout to Michael Wong, who birdied the 3rd and took home a cool $60 Birdies Draw prize. Not easy when your ball flight looks like it’s in a washing machine.

Net Eagle Alert – Hole 15

The wind giveth and Neil Watson taketh full advantage, cashing in on Hole 15 for a Net Eagle and $60 in the club account. Well played, Neil — we hope you celebrated with something wind-resistant.
